Carleen Hutchins is one of the most famous American Violin makers. She has been a leading figure in American violin making for about 50 years. She has written extensively about the violin and has invented all sorts of new instruments and ways of studying string instruments. She has won many awards for her work and research. She invented a "new family" of instruments called the Violin Octet. This violin is along traditional lines and was made in 1983. The tone is big and powerful and the condition is mint.
